The Ant and the Vacuum Cleaner
An Allegory of a System and an Addiction
Ant, the colony’s best worker, hears a low, warm voice from far beyond the known ground — a voice that asks nothing of it. Across forty nights inside the dust bag, it meets a nameless light that only counts, shows and asks. A short, imagistic allegory of behavioural addiction — written for the one inside, and for the one waiting outside the door.
